This week's episode of Sake Unplugged is slightly different, as Cindy and Giulia are talking about a recent event that shook many sake lovers as the news arrived on the 11th of March that Yuki Shuzo in Ibaraki prefecture had burned down. They are joined by Simone Maynard, also known as the Sake Mistress and through the community, she built called "the Taste with the Tōji" to talk about the brewery and shine a little light on what has happened and how we, collectively can still help them. With the emphasis being on continuation, as with many events like this, they are only in the news and talked about for so long, however, there is no quick fix and our continuous support is needed, which is why this episode is so important. You can find some more information about what is happening via Simone's platforms, so make sure to follow her projects on Instagram or Facebook and if you are in a position to help in whatever way, please do so.
