In this week's episode of Sake Unplugged, Cindy and Giulia are welcoming a very special guest to the show, Takashi Eguchi, probably best known for his fantastic tasting notes as part of "The Japanese Saké Bibel" by Brian Ashcraft!
However, this is really only a tiny part of Takashi's, or Umio's (as friends call him) sake portfolio. He has written more than 500 sake reviews on his blog, has interviewed countless brewers both in Japan and overseas, is currently lecturing "Sake Tourism" at Doshisha University in Kyoto, and finds time to taste and share his love for sake every Thursday at 8 pm on his YouTube Channel with a live and interactive sake tasting (among even more other things....)
So prepare yourself for a slightly extended Episode of Sake Unplugged, because it just had to be like that. You will find out about what it really means to experience sake locally, along with endless stories of Umio's sake journey, and yes there will have to be a part two... ...until then
